visit: The Spruce Forest Artist Village
Located In Grantsville MD.

The living craft village dedicated
to celebrating crafts in the Allegheny
region. Located on the banks of the
Casselman River and adjacent to the
Old National Road (Route 40) within
the Little Crossings Community, is
the Spruce Forest Artisan Village,
a year-round artisan community.

Only 20 miles from the C & O Canal and Deep
Creek Lake and surrounded by historic sites, antique and art galleries, the
Spruce Forest Artisan Village in Grantsville, Md. provides a destination for
locals and tourists in Western Maryland to explore the rich art and culture of

















 

 

 

The Artisan Village also offers workshops which are two-day courses designed
for those of all skill levels looking to learn more from the Village's
world-renowned artists in residence as well as guest teachers. The courses
take place Saturdays and Sundays beginning at 10 a.m. in the numerous
historic buildings on Spruce Forest's campus. Topics include weaving, jewelry
making, carving, blacksmithing, Mosaic tiling, working with precious metal and
clay and many other mediums.

Cost, dates and materials needed vary per class. For complete listings of
